“kurt's galaxy”

IN collaboration with the kurt vonnegut museum and library

The design process involved digital collage and illustration, utilizing Vonnegut's eyes as a starting point to form these ambiguous galaxies. "Kurt's Galaxy III", the design with the mass of eyeballs in a cloud formation, was selected to feature in the centennial issue of So It Goes, a literary journal by the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library. These works visually interpret Vonnegut's depiction of outer space within his 1959 book, "Sirens of Titan". I was inspired by Vonnegut's alien characters and their discombobulated features; the ability to appear in multiple universes, and Vonnegut as a character himself within his own invigorating tales.
